1980-present: Private practice of psychology, including:

 

- 900+ referrals, in Spanish* or English, from federal court for individual and family psychotherapy;

 

- 1500+ emergency consultations, often as result of "suicide consultation" announcement;

 

- 130 N.Y.C. Family Court evaluations, with testimony;

 

- 70 pre-trial and pre-sentence evaluations of adults for State Supreme Courts and U.S. District Courts;

 

- 600+ bilingual (Spanish) psychological evaluations  of  N.Y.C. school children (ages 3-21), based on emotional/behavioral indicators, and neurological and other learning strengths and deficits;

 

- individual, group, and family counseling of disturbed school children and adolescents;

 

- evaluations and psychotherapy with WorkersÕ Comprehension patients.

 

1974-80: As Chief, Psychology Services, for federal Metropolitan Correctional Center:

 

-developed and directed model "Suicide Prevention Project" that reduced by half the number of suicidal and assaultive actions in the institution;

 

-developed institutionÕs first Family Counseling program, a service that drew upon the counseling skills of probation officers and institution staff;

 

-conducted 100+ pre-sentence evaluations for federal judges;

 

- conducted countless crisis interventions, and group psychotherapy;

 

- supervised 10 staff (paid, intern, and volunteer), trained correctional counselors, and consulted to institutionÕs management and other staff

 

1977: New York State License in Psychology (#5261).
